As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by any other journal. If otherwise, a clear explanation has been provided in the editor's comments.
  • The manuscript will not be submitted to any other journal during the editorial process of IDEAS.
  • The opinions expressed in this manuscript are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official stance of the publishing institution or the funding organization.
  • All author-identifying metadata (including names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, phone numbers, and similar information) have been removed to preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer review process.
  • The file is submitted in an editable format: Microsoft Word
  • All tables, figures, and charts are embedded in the relevant sections of the manuscript and are also provided at the end of the document in their original file formats (.xls, *.pdf, .doc, .docx, or other widely used software).
  • The article complies with the editorial format established by the journal IDEAS. The official template can be downloaded from the following link: Article format
  • Active URLs are provided for cited references whenever available.
  • The references are formatted according to the IEEE style.
  • The manuscript relies exclusively on sources published in indexed scientific journals or reputable academic books. Literature reviews and conference abstracts may be cited when deemed relevant to the study.
  • The total number of references remains within the following limits established by the journal: 50 for research articles, 120 for review articles, and 30 for short communications.
  • The average publication date of the cited sources falls within the past 10 years, unless older references are warranted due to their historical relevance or theoretical importance.
  • The manuscript contains an abstract written in Spanish along with its corresponding English translation, both not exceeding 200 words in length.
