Abstract
Applications based on computer software have been one of the most significant advances for mankind, they have changed the life of man and the control of processes. In the educational field, ICT have transformed the teaching-learning processes forcing students and teachers to develop digital competences. In this context, an application has been developed for children in the first year of basic education based on STEAM methodology, which is part of the project "Implementation of STEAM Methodology in basic and middle education in the city of Esmeraldas". The application developed is an interactive game through which children are encouraged to develop mathematical and spatial reasoning while playing. The instructions entered in the application are simulated and if there are no errors are sent via Wi-Fi to a mobile robot that interacts with the children.
