Los Grupos de Investigación como estrategias para desarrollo de la investigación científica en las instituciones de educación superior ecuatorianas

Abstract
Las Instituciones de Educación Superior ecuatorianas, antes del último quinquenio, no respondieron a su misión ni visión en lo que respecta al desarrollo de la investigación científica; su estructura y condiciones no lo permitieron ya que su planta docente, su formación, sus remuneraciones, el sistema de incentivos, el presupuesto asignado a la investigación científica, la conformación de redes de investigación y la falta de una planificación fueron muy precarios. Desde la vigencia de la nueva Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior, del Reglamento de Régimen Académico y de la conformación y trabajo de organismos como el CES, CEAACES y SENESCYT, se da un impulso a la investigación científica. Lo dicho se va consolidando más aún + cuando las IES, en el marco de los procesos de acreditación, toman muy en serio a la investigación científica dentro de sus planes estratégicos y de mejora. Se plantea una estrategia de conformación de grupos de investigación, basados en una estructura legal y administrativa-operativa que le permita obtener productos investigativos. Para ello, el funcionamiento de los grupos está basado en los objetivos, macroprocesos y procesos que respondan a líneas y sublíneas de investigación científica.
