Ecos de la Academia is a diamond open access scientific journal published by Universidad Técnica del Norte, dedicated to research in the field of education and its interdisciplinary intersections. It publishes research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in three thematic areas: Curriculum and Educational Design; Pedagogy and Learning Theories; and Didactics and Teaching Practices.

Beginning with Volume 13, Issue 24, Ecos de la Academia adopts a new thematic structure organized into three areas and their respective subareas. Submissions corresponding to Volume 12, Issue 23 will retain the thematic classification in force at the time of submission and will continue through the editorial process under that structure. New submissions intended for Volume 13, Issue 24 and subsequent issues must be assigned to one of the three currently active thematic areas.
