Abstract

The present State of the Art is the result of a qualitative documentary research, carried out by the students of the Basic Education Career of the Technical University of the North. The main objective of the article was to investigate the evolution of formative research in the Higher education through the methodology of a state of the art to finally develop an interpretation from different dimensions, for this reason documents published in different countries on this subject and in different fields have been taken into account. The research was carried out in two stages corresponding to the heuristic and hermeneutic methods, in the first stage an information gathering of different scientific articles and books in digital format was made, in the second stage an analysis of what was investigated was carried out, and finally interpreted the results obtained from books and magazines, as main results were obtained that formative research is a primary area in higher education but still has certain shortcomings in its application, therefore it is concluded that in higher education institutions research it must be a transversal axis during all levels of study.
