Research Article

Presents original results derived from a scientific research process. The manuscript should include the following sections: title, authors with institutional affiliation, place of affiliation —city, province or state, and country—, email address, abstract, keywords, resumen, palabras clave, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, acknowledgements, references, tables, and figures.

The manuscript should be between 5,000 and 9,000 words, excluding references. A minimum of 40 cited bibliographic sources is required. In duly justified cases, the editorial team may consider manuscripts that exceed the maximum word limit. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to make available open science objects that support the reproducibility of the study, especially datasets, instruments, protocols, or software.

Review Article

Refers to a systematic, narrative, integrative, or scoping review that addresses a specific scientific topic from a critical, rigorous, and reflective perspective. It must analyze, compare, and discuss the findings of at least 40 previously published academic articles.

This type of manuscript must formulate a clear research question, explain the criteria for searching, selecting, and analyzing sources, and follow, where appropriate, recognized protocols or standards such as PRISMA , Cochrane , or other relevant methodological standards. Whenever possible, the review protocol should be registered or published on open platforms such as OSF .

Review articles should be between 5,000 and 9,000 words, excluding references. In exceptional and duly justified cases, the editorial team may consider longer manuscripts.

Case Report

Provides a detailed description of a single case or a small group of cases in a real educational context. It must clearly present the problem addressed, the context of intervention or analysis, the methodology used, the results obtained, the limitations of the case, and its possible transferability to other educational settings. Its length should be between 1,500 and 2,500 words, excluding references.

Short Communication

Presents preliminary findings, partial results, research advances, or limited-scope studies with scientific relevance to the field of education. This type of manuscript prioritizes the timely communication of novel results that may guide further research. Its length should be between 2,000 and 3,500 words, excluding references.
