Objectives and Scope
Scope
Ecos de la Academia is a scientific journal specializing in the field of education and its interdisciplinary intersections. It seeks to contribute to the understanding, analysis, and transformation of educational processes.
The journal particularly welcomes research related to pedagogy, didactics, educational innovation, educational psychology, curriculum, and assessment across primary, secondary, and higher education.
The journal pursues the following specific aims:
- To disseminate research findings that provide empirical evidence, theoretical developments, or methodological contributions relevant to the study of education.
- To increase the visibility of educational innovations and scientifically grounded experiences that contribute to the development of educational practices, policies, and teaching and learning processes.
- To promote critical analysis and scholarly discussion of contemporary educational issues in local, national, and international contexts.
- To foster interdisciplinary dialogue between education and related fields, including communication, psychology, technology, art, culture, physical activity, and sport.
- To strengthen the open circulation of knowledge by promoting access to, use of, and dissemination of scientific output among researchers, educators, undergraduate and postgraduate students, educational administrators, and other stakeholders involved in education.
- To foster the internationalization and diversity of scholarly communication by welcoming contributions from different geographical, institutional, and cultural contexts.
Ecos de la Academia is published by Universidad Técnica del Norte, based in Ibarra, Ecuador. The journal follows a diamond open access model and therefore does not charge article processing charges (APCs) to authors.
