Ecos de la Academia maintains a biannual publication frequency, with two issues per year: January–June and July–December. The journal receives manuscripts throughout the year and applies a continuous publication model: approved articles are published online once the editorial process has been completed and are progressively incorporated into the corresponding issue. Issues are formally closed on 30 June and 30 December each year.

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform of Ecos de la Academia, in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and using the current official template. Submissions by email are not accepted as a substitute for the OJS submission workflow.

The person who registers the manuscript in OJS assumes the role of corresponding author and will be responsible for communication with the editorial team. The length and specific requirements depend on the document type; exceptions must receive explicit editorial authorisation.

The journal charges no fees for submission, evaluation, peer review, editorial processing, correction, editing, layout or publication. It does not apply article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees. The absence of charges must be stated visibly and equivalently in the Spanish and English versions of OJS.
