Open Access Policy

Ecos de la Academia is a diamond open access journal. The full text of its scientific articles is available freely, immediately and at no cost, without an embargo period and without requiring registration or subscription for reading or downloading. The journal permits its contents to be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, linked and reused in accordance with the open license applicable to each article.

Open access applies to scientific articles and other academic content published by the journal. Reuse conditions are determined by the license indicated in each publication.

License

Since 2024, the contents of Ecos de la Academia have been published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits sharing, copying, redistribution, adaptation, remixing, transformation and creation from the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is included and any changes made are indicated.

License information must be displayed visibly and consistently in OJS and on the first page of the published version of the article. The layout will use the designation “ CC BY 4.0 ” and, whenever possible, the official graphic identifier and a link to the license.

Historical articles that were legitimately published under a different license will retain the license indicated in their published version, unless the rights holders expressly authorize relicensing. Current policies must not retroactively modify the reuse rights of previously published content.

The license does not replace other applicable rights, such as moral rights, privacy, image rights, publicity rights, data protection or third-party rights.

Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

Ecos de la Academia allows authors to deposit and disseminate versions of their works in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites and other open access academic spaces, without an embargo period.

The preprint, the manuscript accepted for publication and the version published by the journal may be deposited. When the accepted version or the published version is disseminated, the complete bibliographic reference, DOI and a link to the official version in Ecos de la Academia must be included.

The deposit of a preprint in a recognised repository will not, by itself, be considered prior publication incompatible with the journal, provided that authors declare it during submission and there are no third-party rights restrictions.
