OAI-PMH Protocol
Ecos de la Academia provides an OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) access point that enables the automated harvesting and exchange of metadata for its published content by repositories, metadata harvesters, discovery services and scientific information systems compatible with this protocol.

Structured Formats
The incorporation of XML JATS/HTML is considered a technical improvement in interoperability. Until a stable and validated production workflow is in place, these formats will not be declared as available and will not be required from authors. A technical pilot may be conducted with selected articles before general implementation.
