Citation and Reference Guidelines
Articles must follow the citation and reference guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition . Whenever possible, the digital version should be cited and a DOI provided; when no DOI exists, a valid and stable URL may be included. All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and every reference included must have been cited in the text.
The reference list must be arranged alphabetically and presented double-spaced with a 1.27 cm hanging indent. Specific rules concerning the number of authors, absence of an author, absence of a date, and works by the same author must follow APA 7.
The current manuscript template establishes that references corresponding to articles previously published by Ecos de la Academia should be highlighted in bold as a graphic convention. This practice does not imply an obligation to cite the journal, does not condition manuscript acceptance, and does not authorise requests for irrelevant or unjustified self-citations.
Once an article has been accepted or published, no new references will be incorporated unless expressly requested by the editorial team for reasons of accuracy, correction or integrity of the scholarly record.
