Policy for Special Issues, If Implemented
If the journal publishes special issues or content coordinated by guest editors in the future, these must fall within the scope of Ecos de la Academia and be subject to the same peer-review, integrity, licensing, conflict-of-interest and transparency policies as regular articles. Every article published as part of a special issue or a collection coordinated by guest editors will be clearly identified as belonging to that issue or collection, both in the published version and in its editorial metadata. The Editor-in-Chief will retain editorial responsibility for the special issue as a whole.
The credentials of guest editors must be verified and approved by the journal, and their management will be supervised by the Editor-in-Chief or designated members of the Editorial Committee. Articles submitted by guest editors themselves must undergo an independent review process and may not exceed 25% of the total number of articles in the special issue.
