Authors who publish in Ecos de la Academia retain copyright in their works in perpetuity. By accepting publication, authors grant Editorial UTN, through the journal, the right of first publication and provide a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, preserve, index, and disseminate their articles in print, digital, and electronic formats, without prejudice to the rights they retain as authors.

Articles published under the journal’s current policy are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, which permits users to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given, a link to the licence is included, and any changes made to the original material are clearly indicated.
