Peer Review Process

Ecos de la Academia applies specialist peer review using a double-blind model. Every manuscript is preliminarily examined by the editorial team to verify relevance to the journal's scope, formal compliance, originality, metadata, ethical declarations and compliance with the journal's policies.

Manuscripts that pass the preliminary verification will be sent to two independent specialists who are not members of the editorial team and have no conflicts of interest. At least one will be external to Universidad Técnica del Norte. Evaluation will be conducted through double-blind peer review: neither authors nor reviewers will know the identity of the other party.

The editorial decision is made considering the peer-review reports, academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological consistency, currency of the bibliography, ethical transparency and the manuscript's contribution to the field of education.
