Estudio de pertinencia de la carrera de Comunicación Social de la Universidad Nacional de Loja, Ecuador

Abstract
En Ecuador con la Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior comenzaron los rediseños de las carreras de comunicación.
Presentamos la aplicación del Principio de Pertinencia al rediseño de la carrera de comunicación
de la Universidad Nacional de Loja. El objetivo es analizar las necesidades profesionales de comunicadores
sociales en el entorno. Se utilizó la encuesta presencial como método de investigación. La muestra fue de
478 personas. El resultado más interesante fue que el 78% de las organizaciones sociales de la Zona 7 de
Ecuador demandan de profesionales en comunicación. Las conclusiones es que existe una necesidad de
profesionales de la comunicación relacionados con lo virtual y se sugiere que los nuevos emprendimientos
sean derivados de este campo.
