Situación y perspectivas de la educación intercultural bilingüe en el cantón Cotacachi

Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación fue visibilizar la situación de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe EBI y reconocer
las perspectivas administrativas, técnico pedagógicas y socio-organizativas en el cantón Cotacachi.
La metodología se basó en el paradigma cualitativo, se aplicó una entrevista a las principales autoridades
del Distrito educativo 10D03, directivos de los centros educativos y la Unión de Organizaciones Indígenas
del cantón Cotacachi UNORCAC, corresponsable de la EBI en el cantón. La revisión documental
comprendió el análisis de los antecedentes históricos de la educación bilingüe y la propuesta del Modelo
de Educación del Sistema de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe MOSEIB. Los resultados muestran que la
acción pedagógica en los Centros Educativos Comunitarios CECs no responde a los lineamientos pedagógicos
y metodológicos del MOSEIB. Las perspectivas de la EBI en el cantón no son muy alentadoras,
requiere un replanteamiento de la oferta educativa para el cantón.
