Abstract
The sociology of childhood constitutes a scientific field, which gains more and more space within the academic community, especially among sociologists. This article aims to develop a systematic review of theoretical studies on childhood sociology. In this sense, a search was carried out in the following databases, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Scielo, ProQuest and e-book. As selection criteria, review articles and books written in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, published on any date, were considered. After an evaluation of the titles and abstracts, a total of twenty-four documents were selected.
