Motivación hacia la profesión docente en la Enseñanza Secundaria

Abstract
En este trabajo se pretende, como objetivo general, aproximarse a los aspectos motivacionales que conllevaron a
la realizaci.n del M.ster de Profesorado en Educaci.n Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, Formaci.n Profesional
y Ense.anza de Idiomas (MPES) organizado por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Espa.a) en
el campus de Lugo. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo, se sigui. una metodolog.a cuantitativa empleando el cuestionario,
previamente sometido a valoraci.n por parte de expertos, como instrumento de recogida de informaci.n.
Participaron un total de 48 alumnos pertenecientes a dicho m.ster durante el curso acad.mico 2016-2017, de
los cuales el 40% son varones y el 60% mujeres. En general, el perfil predominante de la muestra es el de mujer
ingeniera de entre 24 y 25 a.os de edad, reci.n titulada y sin experiencia laboral. Los resultados muestran que la
intenci.n de ser docente es la que impulsa en mayor medida la realizaci.n de esta formaci.n (85%), al mismo
tiempo que se constata la creencia acerca de que la vocaci.n y la formaci.n continua son aspectos importantes
para llegar a ser un buen docente.
